Gary G. Sauer, MD

Dr. Sauer is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice. He graduated with honors in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson College of Technology and received his M.D. degree at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York.

He completed a three-year residency in Family Practice At St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse and received a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatrics in 1992. He received the Physician Recognition Award for Continuing Medical Education in 1992, 1995, 1998, 2001, 2004, and 2007. He also received Degree of Fellow in Family Practice in 1994.

Dr. Sauer has for many years been active serving Ohio Valley General Hospital as President and Secretary/Treasurer of the Medical Staff, and as chairman of numerous committees including Quality Counsel, Risk Management, Pharmacy, Utilization Review, Strategic Planning, and Board of Directors.

He is also the Medical Director for the Residence at Willow Lane and Caring Heights Nursing Facility. Dr. Sauer enjoys outdoor sports with his family.
